Yep, the immensely hyped game finally arrived :D. Currently on mission 6, playing Halo 3 on normal mode since legendary mode is so damn hard for me using the controller, my thumbs are getting twisted :D. Maybe I’ll try it again once my XIM kit arrive

Internal Release

Version 1.6 build 50 is progressing quite nicely. The code for volume slider is already in place and working nicely under Vista. I’m still checking out the code to do the bass and treble slider properly

Control your Xbox 360 using mouse and keyboard

10/14/07 | by spectra9 [mail] | Categories: Xbox 360

I have been looking for ways to use my keyboard and mouse to play games in the Xbox 360. I’m a long time PC FPS gamer and for me, there’s no better way to play this kind of game other than using the mouse and keyboard combo.

Recently a company called XCM released a product called the XFPS Pro which will allow the use of mouse and keyboard in Xbox 360. Unfortunately, users in many forums are reporting that it doesn’t work very well. Using it in conjunction with the Smart Joy Frag (SJF) for PS2 does improve it somewhat, but some game like Battlefield 2 is still unplayable with it.

Now comes the good news, a cool person who called him/herself with the nickname OBsIV decides to take a step further and create his/her own controller and software combination called the XIM (Xbox 360 Input Machine) that works with XFPS and share all this information to the world for free :). This controller, in conjunction with a PC, allow for unprecedented control over how the mouse and keyboard behave in Xbox360. The bonus part is, you can use any kind of mouse and keyboard that can work on your PC. Check out his site: http://obsiv.spaces.live.com/ to see the instruction and parts list, and also a video of him/her controlling an Xbox 360 game using a Wiimote.
